Introduction:
The Aerie Voted
Best Hotel In North America (July 2006). The
Aerie is perhaps BC’s best kept secret. Rated by

America – Best Hotel Awards”. A Relais &
Chateau property, The Aerie is located in
Malahat about 45 minutes drive from downtown
Victoria. From its hilltop position the
panoramic views of Washington State and Lower
Mainland are superb. The property and gardens
are reminiscent of a Tuscan setting while inside
the elegance, antiques, rare carpets and guest
comforts - must be experienced.
Guest rooms are impeccably furnished while
suites and penthouses blend beautiful antiques,
breathtaking views and the highest level of
guest comforts. The appeal of the hotel is
luxury and location. While the ambiance is warm
and welcoming; a refreshingly Western Canadian
casual and relaxed air is evident about the
property.

The Aerie dining room is a legend combining
outstanding cuisine, wines with unparalleled
views. Chefs create food that is fresh and
delicious, using classic French techniques but
much inspired by Pacific Northwest flavours and
style. The menu features locally grown
vegetables and fruits plus local meats and fresh
fish. The Island’s best wines are from nearby
Cowichan Valley and on the wine list. Vineyards
are close and reached easily by car during the
day. The SPA & Wellness Centre is a major guest
attraction and reason to visit. Professional
staff provide rejuvenating treatments that
encourage relaxation with carefully selected
botanicals and minerals.
The resort can be reached by car or private
limousine from Victoria in 35 minutes. Good
proximity to wineries or for touring the
interior of Vancouver Island. The vineyard
region has many charming restaurants, coffee
shops and fresh produce stalls which ensure a
