Eagle Nook Wilderness Resort &
Spa
Positioned on Vancouver Island’s fabulous
Barkley Sound, Eagle Nook Resort combines the
extraordinary beauty of Canada’s West Coast with
quick and easy access. Vancouver Island’s west
coast wilderness setting is one of BC’s greatest
natural attractions and Eagle Nook Resort is a
comfortable sanctuary amidst this world famous
region. The lodge combines a blend of
comfortable accommodation, professional staff,
friendly ambiance, excellent service and fine
food.
Barkley Sound is a remarkable maritime region of
islands, remote beaches and rain forests. The
Broken Island group form part of BC’s Pacific
Rim National Park. Wildlife is often spotted,
bald eagles, deer and heron are regular
neighbours! At the right time you may spot black
bear, gray whales or orcas. The clear waters of
Barkley Sound are popular with recreational
divers, here the natural collage of sea anemones
and starfish carpet the ocean floor.
Sea plane flights operate from Seattle – right
to the lodge! Or alternatively ‘self-drive’
guests drive to Ucluelet park and take daily
water taxi. From Vancouver, direct flights are
available to Tofino where a shuttle transfer to
Ucluelet and water taxi connections operate to
Eagle Nook.
Spa Treatments, the resident therapist offers a
range of massage types and special treatments.
Eagle Nook
Resort offers the choice of 23 spacious rooms or
cozy natural log cabins for more privacy and
flexibility. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms
with tub and shower, mini-balconies and views of
either Vernon or Jane Bays. Fluffy towels and
waffle-weave robes are included. Rooms are
either two double beds, queen and double
combinations or king-sized beds. To ensure
guests have complete peace and quiet the rooms
and cabins have no television or telephones.
Telephone and internet services are found in the
lobby with TV news and entertainment in the
library. The one-bedroom cabins feature
king-sized beds, a sitting area with a
free-standing wood fireplace, kitchenette and
outside deck with views - all the same comforts
as lodge rooms.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love the location; sea
kayaking in Barkley Sound is world famous.
Hiking trails near the lodge weave through dense
rainforests and cliff top clearings. Helicopter
flights take you to Cougar Annie's Garden, and
up island to the Estevan Point Lighthouse or the
Nahmint Plateau. Half day marine cruises are
available aboard the lodge’s 19 foot cruiser;
guides introduce you to the diverse wildlife
including sea lions, bald eagles and whales.
