Travel through the heartland of British Columbia
from Vancouver to Jasper in the
Canadian Rockies. A dream route that brings a
whole new perspective to the heart and soul of
BC’s interior. It’s picture book scenery, where
tiny communities, ranches, and wild country
blend comfortably to make each day a highlight.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Vancouver arrival:
Transfer from the Vancouver Airport to your
hotel in Vancouver downtown by limo transfer.
The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Overnight in downtown Vancouver.
Day 2: Vancouver to Whistler:
This afternoon travel from Vancouver to
Whistler by van or Motorcoach. The scenic 2.5 hr
drive takes you along the "Sea to Sky" Highway
to the alpine resort of Whistler. Overnight
Whistler.
Day 3: Whistler to Quesnel:
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to the
charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the
North Cariboo. Enjoy breathtaking and varied
scenery, from the river canyons and lush
farmland of the Pemberton Valley to the
desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon to
rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo
Plateau. Highlights include the shorelines of
Anderson Lake and glacial-fed Seton Lake,
sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon and the
crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the
highest railway bridges in the world. Your day
concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer follows the
banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel.
Overnight in Quesnel.
Day 4: Quesnel to Jasper:
Your journey continues eastwards today to the
majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National
Park. From Quesnel the Rocky Mountaineer follows
the Fraser River north to the town of Prince
George, then travels east through the forests of
northern British Columbia, home to plentiful
wildlife, including a large population of moose.
Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench you are
surrounded to the north by the steeply rising
Rocky Mountains and to the south by the Cariboo
Mountains. Continue climbing past Mount Robson,
at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak
in the Canadian Rockies, and through the
Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta.
Your rail journey ends today on arrival in
Jasper. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 5: Jasper:
Today is at your leisure to explore Jasper and
Jasper National Park. Optional excursions are
offered such as guided hikes and glacier hikes,
Miette Hot Springs and wildlife tour and river
rafting tours. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 6: Jasper to
Banff:
Today travel by Motorcoach the Icefields
Parkway (please note that the Motorcoach will make
scheduled pick up and drop off stops along the
route). Overnight in Banff.
Day 7: Banff to Calgary:
This morning you have time to explore Banff.
Visit the Fairmont Hot Springs, take the gondola
up to Sulphur Mountain, in the heart of
the Canadian Rockies (not included). You will
have a 360o view from the upper
gondola terminal, there are other viewing decks
and the Summit Ridge interpretive boardwalk. In
the afternoon transfer to Calgary by van or
Motorcoach. Overnight Calgary.
Day 8: Calgary - departure:
Transfer to the airport on own for your
departure or start additional program

journey on the Whistler Mountaineer from
Whistler to Jasper via Quesnel in RedLeaf
Service, scheduled transportation (van or Motorcoach)
from Vancouver to Whistler and Jasper to Banff,
limo transfer from Vancouver Airport to downtown
Vancouver hotel upon arrival, provincial
accommodation and sales taxes.
Not included: meals, national park entrance
fees, optional activities, driver and guide
gratuity and GST.
