combined with world class spa treatments. Set
amidst some of Western Canada's most spectacular
landscapes-from canyons of desert sagebrush to
forested trails Echo Valley is an oasis of

everything to do, the choice is yours – relax or

Echo Valley is 450 km north of Vancouver and
easily reached by car or air. Lying off the main
highway routes in beautiful country, the neatest
community is Jesmond. Drivers from Whistler will
use Highway 99. From Vancouver Highways 1 and 97
from Cache Creek. Echo Valley has its own
airport and charter flights may be arranged from
anywhere.
Choice
of spa: one with a European flair for treatments
and services; or the distinctly Thai spa that
embraces the healing touch and simple elegance
of Thai style, custom, culture and care.
Inspired by the ancient traditional Thai
medicine, Thai Spa offers a range of authentic
Thai therapies using Samunphlai herbs, spices
and aromatic oils sourced from rural origins and
imported exclusively for Echo Valley. The
Cariboo Spa offers the very finest of
contemporary aesthetic services including an
extensive range of facials, wraps, and massages,
as well as hair care and refinement services.
Two main lodges
house a total 15 deluxe rooms with large, lavish
en-suite bathrooms. Rooms vary in size and are
suitable for families. Queen-sized beds, cozy
duvet covers, fluffy pillows; country lamps,
hardwood floors and plush throw carpets complete
the picture of luxury. All rooms offer
spectacular views.
Two individual
log cabins offer guests seclusion and the choice
of prepared meals served on site. With outdoor
decks, large bedroom with king sized beds,
living area with pull out sofa and loft beds
plus large bathroom with Jacuzzi. Cabins offer a
unique level of luxury in Caribou ranch country.
The Honeymoon cabin offers a romantic
get-away for the newly married or special
anniversary celebrations. The log cabin
overlooks a rambling creek and the Echo Valley.
Private outdoor Jacuzzi hot tub compliments the
plush interior furnishings, fireplace and
antique four-poster bed. Private ensuite
bathroom plus refrigerator and mini bar.
Guests have a wide choice and the list includes:
guided horseback riding, hiking, river rafting
and fly-in fishing. All activities are designed
to blend with their acclaimed spa treatments
which are a focus of Echo Valley. Additional
activities include participating in working
ranch activities and observing falcon training.
Fly fishing lessons are popular as are 4x4
safaris or even gold panning in nearby creeks.
Thai cooking classes.
Gourmet
food is in keeping with top five star hotels,
but served family style in a home like ambience
around large tables. Enjoy the company of other
guests. Meals are expertly prepared using home
grown farm produce. Seasonal wild mushrooms,
herbs and berries are gathered from surrounding
forests. Wide selection of vegetarian dishes
feature use vegetables from the organic garden.
Meat dishes are prepared from ranch raised
cattle, pigs, turkeys, rabbits and chickens.
Seafood is fresh from Vancouver. Crystal clear
spring waters is from natural springs on the
ranch.
Very romantic, honeymooners will find something
rare and unique at Echo Valley. The ranch
combines well with a Whistler or Vancouver
visits, and offers same levels of luxury and
cuisine. Private aircraft owners can use the
ranch airport. Ask for Echo valley to be
incorporated in any of our western self drive
itineraries. Driving to the Rockies, Echo valley
is a unique en route stop.
In June, July, August and September following
length of stay and arrival days are preferred by
the lodge: 3-night stay with Wednesdays arrival,
4-night stay with Saturday arrival, 7-night stay
with Wednesday and Saturday arrival. Other dates
might be possible, depending on availability.
In March, April, May and October, a 2 night
minimum is required with any arrival day.
Services included:
Accommodation in a lodge room, all
meals, use of ranch facilities (indoor pool, hot
tub, sauna, fitness room), morning Rueseri dat
ton classes (a Thai stretching class), or
morning guided walk, and evening entertainment
such as Cowboy BBQ's with Native Drummer
(Tuesdays) or Cowboy Band (Fridays) and Thursday
Thai Food Night. 10% service charge and bed tax.
