Explore
the warm Okanagan Valley, which produces
about 95% of BC wines. Set amidst the
picturesque Cascade Mountains the valley region
has over 70 wineries producing interesting
varieties. The southernmost sector, with the
longest growing season sees a concentration of
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Syrah
and Shiraz wines are also having success in the
south, while Northern Okanagan is better suited
to Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc,
Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. Tour wineries and
enjoy excellent restaurants on this relaxed
self-drive route!
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in
Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver
on own
and transfer in limo to your overnight
accommodation (included). Remainder of day free.
Stay 2 nights at a B&B in Vancouver.
Day 2: Vancouver
A full day to visit beautiful Vancouver. Enjoy
spacious Stanley Park with its totem poles and
aquarium, Chinatown and the Capilano Suspension
Bridge on the North Shore. Have lunch in
historic Gastown and shop till you drop on
Robson Street. In the evening, pick-up your
rental car. Overnight at a B&B in Vancouver.
Day
3:
Vancouver – Penticton (400km / 6 hrs)
Drive through the fertile Fraser River delta and
step back in time at Fort Langley. Have lunch at
the tumbling Bridal Veil Falls and see the
historic Othello Tunnels in Hope. Then drive
through the rugged mountains of the Cascade
Mountains in Manning Park to Penticton.

Day 4: Penticton
The Okanagan valley is famous for its large warm
lakes, sunny beaches, apple orchards and
excellent wines that come from several local
wineries. Enjoy some exciting water sports on
the lakes or go wine tasting. Overnight at a B&B
in Penticton.
Day
5: Penticton - Vernon
(119km / 1.5 hrs)
Today you will drive through the Okanagan
Valley, following the scenic landscape of
Okanagan Lake the whole way to Vernon, a town
that is quieter and less visited than its
southern neighbours. Vernon is known
for its emphasis on the outdoors, quiet living,
golf and fruit industry. Overnight at a B&B in Penticton.
Day 6: Vernon - Lillooet
(286km / 3.3 hrs)
Today's journey takes you to Lillooet, small
native town located on the banks of the mighty
Fraser River. Lillooet, which sits amidst
spectacular mountain scenery, is very
picturesque. The town has a charming frontier
feel and surprisingly in 1860 was the 2nd
largest centre in North America west of Chicago.
Times have changed but Lillooet has retained its
delightful character. Overnight at a B&B in
Lillooet.
Day
7: Lillooet - Whistler (135km / 2.5 hrs)
Depart Lillooet and cross the scenic Coast
Mountains. Continue your drive along the scenic
‘Sea to Sky’ highway to the alpine resort of
Whistler.
Overnight at a B&B in Whistler.
Day 8: Whistler - Vancouver - departure (140km /
2 hrs)
Return to Vancouver and enjoy the rest of the
day before your tour ends.
