Great Rail Journeys - Skeena

Combining two of Canada’s great rail routes into
one package places the spotlight on some of the
finest scenery in Alberta and BC. The Skeena is
one of VIA Rail’s classic trains – a route that
takes you from Prince Rupert to Jasper
(or reverse direction) along the stunningly beautiful Skeena
valley. The
scenery constantly unfolds as
you journey through Western Canada.
Rail schedules are convenient and allow ample
time to sightsee, explore and take excursions in
Jasper or Prince Rupert. Viewing the
magnificent Rocky Mountains
up close is a thrill for all travellers and
VIA Rail’s transcontinental ‘Canadian’ offers
connecting overnight
service from Jasper to Vancouver. The Triangle Rail Route
is a unique
rail journey that lets you see so
much of Canada’s West – all within a sensible
amount of time.
The
Skeena Totem Deluxe operates every Sunday, Wednesday
& Friday from May 14 - September 28

Trains! Or add to any of our Vancouver
departures like Vancouver Island self drive and
explore by car. Want to extend the trip? Ask to
stay longer in Prince Rupert and Jasper - Great
Trains offers unlimited flexibility. Great Trains is
highly recommended, you can upgrade to suites
and add Five Star hotels. Visit Queen Charlotte
Islands from Prince Rupert by air or BC Ferries
